Toshiba hardrive 500gb portable hard drive

One of the reason I wanted a hard drive was for extra space to store files from my laptop because I am running out of space because of my big music collection. I was looking for something with a decent amount of space and affordable price and came across the Toshiba portable 500gb hard drive. I have heard and read some good reviews about this, so I thought why not choose this, plus my laptop is Toshiba brand.

Pros:
Price: The price was great, it was within my budget, which was even better.
Functionality: Once it was hooked up to my laptop, it read within seconds, which was greats. I tested it out and transferred some files to(pdfs, and some music files) and copied in a few seconds. Then I tried some of my bigger files like my downloaded movies. Because these are bigger sized files, it took some time but not too long only like a couple of minutes.

Build: It is very light weight, so be very careful while carrying it. I would suggest a investing in a case to protect it. It has 4 pads under the bottom, which prevent it from moving a lot.
Other: The cable that comes with is great because it is one of those thick and durable cables, that I like so much and feels that it would last for a long time.

Cons:
Build: I really dislike the build of this hard drive because of its plastic feel, it feels like it will break on me or become loose. Like above, I would strongly suggest investing in a case.

Overall, I have owned this device since February and so far it has been holding up very great!!!
