Adobe Kuler, is a color scheme software and website, where schemes are created from a color wheel. There are also different color combinations you can browse from the kuler community. You can also create a color scheme from a picture, which kuler let's you upload. The good thing about all of this, is that you can create an account save what you create and find. Some people like to jot there ideas or plans on paper, but others like to put it in the form of a map, to do that you need mind mapping software. As you know I like the word free, I am all for free software, especially when cannot afford it, so you want a good alternative. I have found and worked with a few Mind Mapping Software that I thought were great, I guess it just comes to you, and what you think might work for you.
